Oaty granola bites bowl

Crunchy and nutritious, homemade granola bites made from oats is a delicious way to start your day. This easy-to-follow recipe combines rolled oats, peanut butter and banana with a touch of sweetness from the berries and cinnamon. The result is a flavorful and satisfying breakfast or snack that you can enjoy on its own or mixed with yogurt, fresh fruit, or milk.

Method:
  1. To a medium-sized bowl, add the oats, peanut butter, dash of cinnamon and mashed banana. Mix to combine well. 

  2. Next, drizzle the olive oil in a small-sized pan on medium heat. Dish the oat batter into small bliss balls using a tablespoon and place in the pan. 

  3. Pan fry for 3-4 minutes or until the batter is slightly brown. 

  4. Serve the oat granola with fresh berries and a dash of cinnamon to taste. 


Note:

  • Oats - If you are clinically required to be strictly gluten-free, please swap the oats for either quinoa flakes, amaranth or for gluten free weetabix. 

  • Peanut butter - If you are allergic or have an aversion to peanut butter, feel free to swap this for another seed or nut butter of choice. 

  • Vitasoy soy milk - Please ensure this is calcium-fortified and contains between 300-400 mg of calcium per serving. However, suppose you are allergic or prefer other plant-based milk. In that case, you can always use another alternative, given it is calcium-fortified.
