Churros baked oats

Craving churros for breakfast? Try this healthier twist on the classic treat with our churros baked oats recipe. Packed with the same cinnamon-sugar flavor you love, but with the added benefit of healthy carbs and protein, this dish is a delicious and satisfying way to start your day.

Method:
  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).

  2. Combine the oats, protein powder, baking powder and soy milk. Mix to combine well. 

  3. Add half of the oat mixture into an oven-safe dish. Place the biscoff in the center and top with the remaining of oat mixture. 

  4. Add the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle on top of the oats.

  5. Bake in the oven for ~15 minutes and enjoy!


Note:

  • Oats - If you are clinically required to be strictly gluten-free, please swap the oats for either quinoa flakes, amaranth or for gluten-free weetabix. 

  • Vitasoy soy milk - Please ensure this is calcium-fortified and contains between 300-400 mg of calcium per serving. However, suppose you are allergic or prefer other plant-based milk. In that case, you can always use another alternative, given it is calcium-fortified.
